Walking for a cause: IMS TECHNOLOGIES supports Team Healing Hearts for congenital heart defects and heart diseases awareness
IMS TECHNOLOGIES is strongly committed to contributing and taking part in fundraising initiatives and charity events aimed at raising awareness on health and social causes. A clear example of such commitment is the recent partnership between the Group US subsidiary IMS Technologies Inc. – based in New Jersey – and the Team Healing Hearts of South Jersey.
Team Healing Heart and the American Heart Association
Team Healing Hearts is a Community Team associated with the American Heart Association. The association was founded in 1924 and since then it has become the US largest and oldest charitable organization dedicated to heart diseases. Thanks to the constant activity of its branches, AHA aims to raise funds and organize charitable initiatives in order not only to increase consciousness on heart issues, such as congenital heart disease, heart attack and stroke symptoms, but also to promote early screening.
IMS TECHNOLOGIES at the Southern New Jersey Spring Heart Walk
Among all the events that are put in place, one of the most important is the Southern New Jersey Spring Heart Walk in Ocean City. It consists of a 4 km walk on Ocean City’s waterfront that gathers all the association branches in New Jersey and takes place every year in May. After having been cancelled in 2021 due to Covid-19 pandemic, last May 2022 the event could finally be organized, and saw the participation of several people, including many of IMS Technologies’ employees.
Moreover, on that occasion the company’s contribution of $5,000 helped the Association to surpass their fundraising goal of $300,000, allowing Team Healing Hearts to rank #5 of 91 Community teams participating in the event.
There is strength in numbers
The consolidated partnership between IMS TECHNOLOGIES and Team Healing Hearts demonstrates how corporate fundraising can be rewarding for both the company and the community, helping to keep an eye on the most critical social and health issues worldwide.
